 Conventions of a TV advert:

- Product placement

- Jingle (recognisable music)

- Slogan

- Logo

Advertising slots

Broadcast time slots cost advertisers different amounts:a prime time slot will be more expensive than broadcasting in a slot during an afternoon. 

The target demographic of the audience(social,economic,and cultural context)such as age,ethnicity,gender,location,economic status.

The target psychographic of the audience(social,cultural context)

How well known/established the product or brand is.

The intended values,attitudes and beliefs of a brand.

The form(TV advertising has some different convention to print etc),length and time it runs. 

Call to action- Lastly, an effective commercial makes it clear what it wants you to do next, whether it's to visit a website,lease a car, or buy some candy.
